How to Submit a Course

To submit a new course to be added to the catalog, please fill out the New Course Form here. This form asks you to provide as much information about the course as possible, including the items listed below. If you do not know the information for any of these items, please leave the field blank.

  • Course Title: The title of the course being submitted. This should be the title of a single training, not a training program.
  • Topic: The transit-related area that the course focuses on. Some examples include Transit Operations Maintenance, Customer Service, and Safety.
  • Description: A short summary of the explanation and purpose of the course. This should also include any prerequisites required before taking the course, the length of the course, and training resources related to the course.
  • Provider: The transit organization who owns the course.
  • Transit Type: The type of transit that this course relates to. Some examples include Rail, Bus, and Paratransit. If this course relates to all transit types, enter All in this field.
  • Target Audience: The type of transit employee that this course applies to. If this course relates to all employees, enter All in this field.
  • Learning Objectives: The expected goals of the course. This should include the skills or knowledge that will be acquired by the individual completing the course.
  • Assessment of Learner Performance: Any pre-tests, quizzes, or post-tests that assess the individual throughout the course.
  • National Standards: Standards, such as APTA or ADA, that the course is aligned with.
  • Delivery Method: The way in which the course is presented to participants. Instructor-led training, online training, and webinars are examples of different types of delivery methods.
  • How to Obtain the Course: Instructions for attending, downloading, viewing, or registering for the course.
  • Point of Contact name, e-mail and phone number: The contact information for the individual that can provide information and answer questions about the course.
  • Restrictions for Use: Any limitations around individuals or organizations that can and cannot participate in this course.
  • Fee: Cost associated with the course.
  • Other notes: Any other important information related to the course that an individual needs to know before completing it.
